Ann Were,  Secretary Wales Green Party.
Dear Ann,
Could you please say if you helped send out the message below, or gave Pippa access to the Green Party e-mail list, which she uses here for personal purposes, not in her role as Spokesperson for the WGP?  Of course, if you or she had used it  "to refute the serious allegations" against her, then it would have been relevant to her role. but the message doesn't make any progress in this matter so appears out of order.
I look forward to your explanation.
Regards / Max

Hello Max
This is a personal letter from me, as Wales Green Party Leader, to you a valued member.

Until now I have been unable to refute the serious allegations made about me in various media. We have been in a protracted democratic process, and thus my hands have been tied.

You may have received a newsletter (or two) which contains links to the most horrible and scurrilous information about me – including a website fraudulently set up in my name. I must therefore assure you that none – not even one part – of this ugly diatribe is true. If it was the media would have had a field day. As it is there is no story, because it is all a wild and slanderous fabrication from people who would undermine the integrity of the Wales Green Party. I’m sure you will agree that this is not the culture which we would like to see gaining a foothold within the party.

It is disappointing that so few people have voted in internal elections, and I am not exactly sure why this should be. Yet in every election the very culture and integrity of the Green Party in Wales is at stake. So, I urge you to please take the trouble to exercise your right as a member to steer us in the direction you would most like to see when the next voting papers arrive on your doorstep.  We are a growing party, and that sometimes brings new members who are not used to the dignified way in which we have previously conducted our business.

I have taken up enough of your time, but there is one further request. The current Wales Green Party Council has steered us through choppy waters for several year now, and most of them will be standing down this November. Please consider putting your name forward for any of these posts. More details will be with you shortly.

Many thanks for reading this. If you would like to speak to me on any of the information in this letter, or indeed any other subject, please do email me on pippabartolotti@walesgreenparty.com or ring me on the number below.

Yours most sincerely,
Pippa Bartolotti
